Recreativo are beating their own records this season, and they rejoined the race for the European spots with a 0-1 win over Espanyol. Honours were shared in the first half, with Luis García and Moisés Hurtado going close for the locals and Uche bringing a good save out of Kameni for the visitors.

Soon after the restart César Arzo headed a corner against the foot of the post, and a few minutes later Jesús vázquez picked up a through ball from Uche to fire an angled shot in off the crossbar. Moisés headed against the post soon afterwards, but Recre held on to stay in seventh spot, just one point outside of the UEFA cup places.
