Zaragoza returned to the top four pending Wednesday's games after drawing 0-0 at Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday evening. Local keeper Aranzubia was the hero of the night, keeping out Aimar in only the third minute and producing a string of saves after that, including one at point blank range from Ewerthon later in the first half.

A clever combination between Javi Martínez and Urzaiz set up Yeste for him to shoot over the top, and Diogo cut out Urzaiz shortly before the break as he lined up to shoot. Gabilondo also had a chance before being substituted at the break.

Aranzubia was in action soon after the restart after D'Alessandro set up Ewerthon, and Etxeberría curled a shot over the bar at the other end. But in the end both teams settled for the draw, another useful point for Mané's side in their fight to avoid the drop zone.
