Zaragoza drop out of the
Champions League spots after losing 1-2 to Osasuna, their first home defeat of
the season. Aimar went close as early as the first minute, and Sergio
García also tired his luck early on as the locals dominated the first
half. And Diego Milito opened the scoring in the twentieth minute after Diogo
produced a good run down the wing and crossed in for Sergio García to
set him up.
The visitors had lost in
seven of their last eight visits to the Romareda stadium, and they didn't react
until close to half time when David López shot just wide. Sergio
García brought a good save out of Ricardo after the restart, but
otherwise there was not a lot of action until ten minutes from the end, when
Raúl García headed a corner in off Gabi Milito to equalise.
It was a killer blow, and
worse was to come for the hosts. With the game coming to an end Raúl
García sent David López away for him to cross in, and Ponzio
turned the ball in to his own net trying to stop it reaching Webó. A
much needed win for Ziganda's side, and they move six points clear of the drop
zone as a result. |
