Zaragoza are just two points behind leaders Sevilla in third place after a 3-1 victory over Getafe, a fourth win in a row for Víctor Fernández's side (for the first time in 22 years). The visitors were up against it when Pulido was sent off after pulling down Sergio García as he advanced on goal in the eleventh minute, and Diogo got on the end of D'Alessandro's corner to open the scoring six minutes before the break.

Sergio García and Diego Milito both tried their luck after the restart, and Casquero went close at the other end. And midway through the second half Manu Del Moral equalised from the penalty spot after Diego Milito fouled Belenguer in the area.

But the Argentinian striker made up for it a few minutes later, collecting a pass from midfield to run on and beat Abbondanzieri to restore the lead, and substitute Ewerthon fired home a third from outside of the area near the end. Getafe stay in sixth place after the teams immediately behind them failed to win.
