Headed ball in to empty net after first effort blocked by Luccin.
Zaragoza edged Valencia out
of fourth spot after a late 0-1 victory over Atlético Madrid in the last
game of the weekend. Both sides started the game level on points, and local
coach Aguirre decided to give a run out to youngster Víctor Bravo on the
left wing with so many players out injured.
The early chances fell to
the home side, Luccin heading just wide and césar tipping another header
from Galletti over the bar. The visitors hardly responded, the only danger
coming from central defender Sergio either side of half time. And as the game
wore on both managers decided to ring the changes, with Jurado coming on for
Atlético and immediately forcing César into another good save
with a free kick.
The introduction of Sergio
García for Ewerthon improved things for Víctor Fernández's
side. But with a draw on the cards Diego Milito sent substitute Oscar
González away, and although Luccin blocked his shot, the ball bounced up
allowing the forward to head into an empty net.It was another low for the
locals, who seem to have run out of steam after their good start to the season.
