Delporte. Won ball off Basinas in own half and ran on to beat Prats.
Osasuna threw down the
gauntlet to Valencia and Real Madrid after a 0-1 win over Mallorca, and they
still have a chance of the much coveted second spot which gives direct access
to the Champions League.
The Islanders were desperate
for points themselves though to move away from the drop zone, and they were on
top for almost all the game. Víctor went close a couple of times either
side of half time, and Ricardo made a couple of important saves after the
restart, in particular tipping a cross cum shot by Arango on to the post and
then blocking a point blank header from the Venezuelan midfielder soon
afterwards.
The game appeared to be
heading for a draw though when Basinas gave the ball away to Delporte inside
the visitors' half. The Frenchman charged forward leaving all in his wake, and
clipped a shot past Prats to steal away the three points. The home fans
couldn't believe it but their side had lost again. |
