Goals:
0-1. 92. Ewerthon. Beat Arnau on far post after Savio crossed in from left wing.

A mistake by keeper Arnau in the last minute of the match gave Zaragoza an unexpected 0-1 win over Málaga. The Andalusians were desperate for points after hitting rock bottom in the table, and they had the better chances throughout, with Salva failing to beat César and Manu firing just wide, and referee Iturralde González turning down a couple of penalty appeals in the first half. Pablo Couñago also forced a good save out of César early in the second half and put another chance wide, and the keeper did well to stop Gámez a few minutes later.

The visitors had only troubled Arnau a couple of times with free kicks from Ponzio either side of half time, but with the game already in injury time Arnau gifted the ball to Savio, who crossed in for Ewerthon to score the easiest of goals. The defeat leaves Málaga four points adrift of the group immediately above them, and with a difficult programme to come they are already looking like serious candidates for relegation.
