1-0. 48. Tamudo. Picked up De la Peña pass and slid shot under César.
1-1. 51. Generelo. Ran on to Milito pass and lifted shot over head of Kameni.
1-2. 65. Diego Milito. Collected long pass and shot across Kameni from left of goal.
2-2. 82. Tamudo. Looping header over keeper from De la Peña free kick.

Espanyol stay a point above the drop zone after drawing 2-2 at home to Zaragoza, and Lotina's side have now gone four league games without a win. After an early mistake by an unusually nervous Kameni which neither Ewerthon nor Diego Milito could take advantage of, the Catalans took control. Luis García had two goals ruled out for offside before the break (the first at least borderline), and Fredson and Zabaleta both fired shots wide of the mark.

The goals didn't start to flow though until after the restart, Tamudo starting things off after good work by Luis García and De la Peña, dribbling through the defence and beating César. Just three minutes later though Generelo broke through on the left of goal to chip a shot over Kameni, and a quarter of an hour later a carbon copy attack by Diego Milito ended with the Argentine striker shooting low under the keeper.

Espanyol came back though later on, Tamudo getting above the defence to head De la Peña's free kick over the keeper and in to the net. And the team captain almost completed his hat-trick a few minutes later after a corner was headed on, his header from a wide angle close to goal coming back off the far pot and away. It was a goal they could have done with, and another two home points are lost making it sixteen already this season.
