Ewerthon. Ran on to loose ball in area and shot low across keeper.
Celta dropped out of the
European spots after losing 1-0 to Zaragoza, who themselves appear to be on the
way to recovery after a bad run. The Galicians caused some problems for
César early on, particularly with efforts from Baiano and David Silva.
But Víctor Muñoz's side could have gone ahead before the break,
in particular when Pinto did well to stop a low shot from Ewerthon and Angel
cleared an Alvaro header away from goal with the keeper beaten.
Zaragoza dominated the
second half though as the visitors sat back to defend the point, and Ewerthon
finally made the breakthrough after a good run by Oscar González down
the wing. It was the Brazilian forward's fourth in three games, and the win
takes his side safely up to mid-table. |
