Mallorca's poor start to the season continues, and the Balearic Island side are still bottom of the table after they could only draw 0-0 at home to Racing Santander. Héctor Cúper made seven changes to his line up, and they had the chance to go ahead in the third minute when Ayoze pushed Jonas Gutiérrez in the area. But Arango slipped on his run up and fired his penalty kick wide. Víctor hit the woodwork a few minutes later after Tuni set him up, but otherwise they were unable to trouble a Dudu Aouate who currently heads the goalkeepers' Zamora table.

Racing had hardly set foot outside of their own half, but they could have taken the lead a few minutes after the restart when Prats saved well from an Aganzo header on a rapid breakaway. Cúper eventually turned to Choutos and Yordi, and both tested the Israeli keeper later on. But there was no way through, and it was another disappointing night for the San Moix crowd.
