A goal from David López just two minutes after coming on to make his first division debut gave Osasuna a 3-2 win over Albacete. The Pamplona based side should have taken the lead early on when they were awarded a penalty after Rubén brought down Ortíz, but Valbuena (who had gone three games without letting in a goal) dived low to stop Milosevic's spot kick. Rubén Castro headed a long free kick against the bar at the other end, but soon afterwards the home side took the lead when Puñal volleyed a shot over the top of the defence after a free kick was only partly cleared.

Valdo headed a second five minutes before the break, but Buades pulled one back a minute later when he headed Pacheco's long free kick past Sanzol. And six minutes after the restart the visitors were level after the keeper misjudged a high cross under pressure from half time substitute Francisco, Redondo being left with the easiest of tasks of scoring into an empty net.

David López came on though to score the winner after the defence again failed to clear, and he could have increased the lead had Valbuena not been on his best form a few minutes later. Nerves showed through in the end when players from both sides clashed in a heated argument, and visiting striker Mikel was sent off after the referee overhead an insulting remark. But Osasuna had lready done enough to take the three points, and they ended the weekend in sixth spot in the table.
