Zaragoza's fans were treated
to a goal feast once again as they ran out 4-3 winners for the second match in
a row in the Romareda stadium, this time against Levante. The result leaves the
Maños on ten points, in seventh spot but level on points with third
placed Espanyol.
Manchev twice gave the
visitors the lead in the first half, the first a near post header from Rivera's
cross and the second following a long free kick from Ian Harte which the
defence could not clear. But a hotly disputed Villa penalty squared it the
first time and a Javi Moreno strike following a long charge out of defence
levelled the scores again a minute after the restart.
Savio put Víctor
Muñoz's side ahead for the first time five minutes later and Javi Moreno
gave the locals what looked like an unassailable lead with his second goal of
the night, but Celestini headed one back soon afterwards to set up a thrilling
finish. It was too much for visiting manager Bernd Schuster, who was shown a
red card near the end for insulting an official. |
