A thrilling game at Mallorca, where the Balearic Island side came back from two goals down to draw 3-3 against Racing Santander. The first few minutes were frantic, with three goals before many fans had taken their seats. Bodipo started things off in the second minute for the visitors, controlling a long Javi Guerrero pass on his chest before beating Leo Franco, and Riera equalised a minute later, shooting into the roof of the net after Pandiani had swung the ball across from the right. Soon afterwards Javi Guerrero put Piterman's side ahead again from the penalty spot after Fernando Nino brought him down in the area, and Guerrero found Bodipo with a cross two minutes before the break for him to head a third.

However Racing's young defender Pablo Casar got himself sent off early in the second half after dragging down Eto'o as he advanced on goal, and Chuchi Cos had to sacrifice Benayoun to bring on an extra defender Pineda. It did little good though, and almost immediately Eto'o pulled a goal back after Marcos headed a free kick against the post. Ten minutes from the end the Camerooni striker made it all square after Ibagaza and Turu Flores combined to set him up, and a few minutes later he should have completed his hat-trick when he got free again in front of goal, but he waited too long and Lemmens was able to close him down.
