Las Palmas and Osasuna shared the points in a game which both of them needed to win. Only one point separated the two at the start of the game, with Las Palmas in fifteenth place and Osasuna two below them, just above the relegation zone. With Angel suspended and Schurrer injured, Fernando Vázquez put out a makeshift defence, with Edu Alonso and Josico dropping back from their usual midfield positions. Lotina gave Armentano a start after he scored the winning goal last week, and replaced the injured Fernando with Yanguas, himself just back from injury. The Pamplona based side were the better of the two in the first half, and it was no surprise when Armentano opened the scoring with half an hour gone. Palacios put a header just wide soon afterwards which could have increased the lead, but Contreras had to clear off the line from Rubén with Unzué beaten a minute later.

Both sides had to make changes early on, with Yanguas and Jayo not quite as fit as they expected being replaced by Lekumberri and Sarasúa respectively, and Vázquez also brought on a third forward Tevenet at the break to try and redress the situation. Osasuna fell further and further back as the game wore on, with Orlando shooting just wide of Unzué's goal with their best opportunity. The local fans started to get on their players' backs as time ran out, but with Lotina already counting his winnings, Rubén popped up to equalise four minutes from the end. Still the visitors felt they should have had a penalty in the last minute when Olias brought down Sabino, but referee Pérez Lasa gave a free kick to the home team for offside, much to the disgust of Lotina who was booked for expressing his opinion rather too vociferously. In the end status quo, with both sides remaining more or less where they were at the start of the day's play.
