Extremadura kept up their lead
at the top with a 3-1 victory over Compostela with 3 first half goals
from Viaud (pen), Duré and Manuel. They have 19 points from 7
games. Las Palmas are second, 3 points behind on 16 points after a
runaway 7-1 win against Leganés, including two goals from
Sequieros and one from Samways. Salamanca drop to third on 15 points
after a 0-0 draw with Toledo. Badajoz beat Sporting 2-1 to go fourth
on 13 points. Four teams are tied on 11 points, Compostela, Levante,
Albacete and Recreativo, with Osasuna and Mérida on 10.
Sporting, Villarreal and Eibar have 9, Córdoba, Tenerife and
Elche have 8 and Logroñes are 17th on 7 points. The bottom five
places are occupied by Lleida and Atlético B on 5 points,
Toledo on 4 and the two Madrid clubs, Getafe and Leganés on 3.
