Day Four
Extremadura have made a good
start to their push to return to the top category at the first time of
asking. They beat Eibar 0-1 to head the table with 12 points out of
12, with Duré scoring the only goal. Good away wins by
Compostela (1-3 vs Atlético B), Las Palmas (1-3 vs Toledo) and
Osasuna (0-1 vs Leganés) kept them within 3 points of
Extremadura, and they are joined on 9 points by Sporting who beat
Lleida 2-1 after being 0-1 down with a few minutes to go. Elsewhere
draws were the order of the day, with relegated Tenerife and Salamanca
sharing the points at 1-1, the same score as Elche vs Getafe and
Recreativo vs Logroñes. Double donuts (0-0) were the order of
the day for Villarreal and Badajoz and also for Mérida and Córdoba.
Mérida and Salamanca share 6th spot on 8 points, with Tenerife
and Recreativo being joined on 7 by Levante, who beat Albacete 2-0.
Villarreal and Badajoz have 6 points, Albacete 4, Elche, Atlético
B and Toledo 3, Getafe, Eibar and Logroñes 2, and Leganés,
Lleida and Córdoba on 1. |
