Sevilla are already fairly sure of a place in the knockout stage after they beat Luxembourg’s Dudelange 3-0, their third victory in a row. Lopetegui made ten changes from his weekend side, but they had a few problems before Franco Vázquez headed them into the lead from an Oliver Torres cross soon after the restart. With a quarter of an hour to go Vázquez made it two after Joubert could only push out a shot from Munir, and Munir himself wrapped things up from Escudero’s centre some three minutes later. Espanyol are also top of their group after they won 0-1 at Ludogorets earlier in the evening, Campuzano taking advantage of a long clearance to score the only goal on the quarter hour mark. Javi López got sent off near the end, but the Catalans held on to give new coach Pablo Machín a first win. Getafe though lost 0-1 to Basel, Frei scoring for the visitors in the first half, and the Madrid based side unable to get past keeper Nikolic after that, even though Bua was sent off later on. The Swiss team move a point above their hosts to the top of the table. (24.10.19)
