Valencia were already two goals up after the first leg at Celtic, and a red card for Toljan before the break ended any hopes the Scottish side had of a comeback. In the end the Ches won 1-0 on the night as well, Gameiro getting the only goal after Parejo and Wass combined to set him up with twenty minutes to go.
