Spain are European under 21 champions again after they won 2-1 in the final against Germany, the team they lost to two years ago! Fabián and Dani Olmo got the goals, with Armini replying for their opponents near the end. (30.06.19)
Spain are through to the final for the fourth time in five editions after beating France 4-1 in the semi-finals! Luis De la Fuente’s side went behind to a Mateta penalty following a foul by Junior on the forward just seconds after they had a good penalty appeal of their own turned down. However Marc Roca made it all square following Oyarzabal’s corner a few minutes later, and Oyarzabal won another penalty which he himself converted just before the break. Two minutes after the restart Fabián set up Dani Olmo for the third, and substitute Borja Mayoral got on the end of Fornals cross to fire home the fourth midway through the second half. Spain’s opponent in the final will be Germany, who beat them at the same stage two year’s ago. (27.06.19)
