A thrilling night in the Europa League, with two of the ties involving Spanish sides being decided in the very last minute! Valencia made it into the quarter finals after a 1-1 draw at Krasnodar, Gameiro setting up Guedes to save the day in the third and final minute of injury time after a late strike by substitute Suleymanov appeared to have left the Ches out on the away goal rule. Sevilla though are out of “their” competition after losing 4-3 to Slavia Prague in last minute of extra time. A Ben Yedder penalty and a volley by Munir had cancelled out two goals by the Czechs, and a Franco Vázquez header at the start of the 30 minutes added on seemed to have wrapped things up. However Van Buren made it all square once again, and with the tie coming to an end Traoré scrambled home a last gasp winner. Villarreal however cruised through after a 2-1 victory over Zenit added to their 1-3 first leg win, Gerard Moreno and Bacca combining to score a goal apiece either side of half time, and Ivanovic getting a late consolation for the Russian side.
