Promising results for the three Spanish sides still in the competition, although Sevilla still have work to do after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Slavia Prague. Ben Yedder started things off with less than a minute gone, and although Stoch equalised later in the first half, Munir restored the lead with an impressive volley soon afterwards. Kral made it all square again though with a fluke header just before the break, and although the Andalusians dominated throughout the second half, luck was not on their side. Villarreal though are looking good for a place in the quarter finals after they won 1-3 at Zenit. Strikes by Moreno and Morlanes midway through the second half gave Calleja’s side the win after Azmoun had cancelled out Iborra’s first half opener. Valencia also have the advantage after a 2-1 victory over Krasnodar, although they will be ruing chances missed to build a bigger lead. Rodrigo scored twice in the first half hour or so, but the Russian side came back after the interval with an individualist goal from Claesson. (07.03.19)
