Four new faces in Luis Enrique’s squad for the upcoming friendly with Wales and Nations League tie against England, Koke, Marc Bartra and Paco Alcácer recalled, and Wolverhampton's Jonny called up for the first time. Dani Carvajal, Isco, Sergi Roberto and Diego Costa all drop out due to injury (as well as Diego Llorente, who was already injured), and Iñigo Martínez was left out as well. Spain’s under 21 manager Luis de la Fuente also announced his squad for the European qualifiers against Albania and Iceland, and with classification for the finals already in the bag, he drafted in four players who are new at this level, Daniel Martín, Sergi Palencia, Angeliño Tasende and Dani Olmo.
