Real Madrid are out of the Champions League after a humiliating 1-4 defeat to Ajax in their second leg match! A 1-2 first leg lead was quickly overturned by strikes from Ziyech and Neres, and when Tadic scored a third away goal after the restart, Madrid needed three themselves to go through. To make matters worse, Lucas Vázquez and Vinicius both went off with injuries before the break, and although substitute Marco Asensio got one back from Reguilón’s assist, Schöne beat Courtois with a wide free kick to wrap things up. Madrid’s three year reign is over, and after probably the worst week in their history (following two home defeats to Barcelona), Solari’s job is hanging by a thread.
