Atlético Madrid got off to a good start in their Europa League campaign, a 1-4 win in a snowy Copenhagen virtually sealing the tie. Simeone’s side had dropped down from the Champions League after finishing third in their group, and things seemed to be going wrong when Fischer put the Danish side in front. Goals by Saúl and Gameiro turned things around by half time however, and Griezmann and Vitolo added two more after the restart.
