Huesca and Lugo stay in the direct promotion spots after the teams below them all failed to win on Sunday. Osasuna were bearten 2-3 by Alcorcón despite going ahead twice through Fran Mérida, goals by Alvaro Giménez, Sangalli, and Burgos in the last minute giving the visitors the three points. The Pamplona based team ended the day a point behind Lugo in third spot, level with Numancia, who lost 1-2 to Nastic. Manu Barreira got a goal at each end in the first six minutes, but Uche got a late winner which takes the Catalans away from the drop zone. Sporting meanwhile drop out of the play-off spots after they were beaten 0-3 by Cádiz, Garrido, Alvaro García and Barral getting the goals to take the Andalusians level with their hosts in the rankings.
Granada stay fifth after they drew 1-1 at Cultural Leonesa, Joselu saving the draw for the Andalusians after Rodri had given the locals the lead shortly before the break, and Rayo Vallecano are now level with them in the table after a 1-0 victory over Barcelona B, Lass setting up Trejo for the only goal with a quarter of an hour to go. Gerard López’s side are now just a point above the drop zone, five points clear of the bottom two Sevilla Atlético and Córdoba, who drew 1-1. Jona opened the scoring for the visitors immediately after the restart, but despite having Matos sent off, the home side fought back with a header by Fede San Emeritio near the end. (19.11.17)
Huesca stay top of the second division after a 3-0 win over Tenerife in the first match on Saturday. Gonzalo Melero and Cucho Hernández scored twice within a minute latrer on the first half, and Melero headed in a Hernández cross after the break to wrap things up. Lugo are now second pending Sunday’s games after they beat Lorca 1-2, Fede Vico getting the winner with twenty minutes to go after a Seoane own goal had cancelled out Mario Barco’s opener. Valladolid are in to the top six after a 3-1 victory against Oviedo, Deivid getting the opener from a corner early on, Mata making it two with a quarter of an hour to go, and Michel wrapping things up after Linares had pegged one back for the Asturians. Reus are further away from the play-off spots however after they could only draw 1-1 with Albacete later in the evening, Lekic saving a point for the Catalans after Zozulya had given the visitors a first half lead. Almería moved to the brink of escaping the drop zone after a 3-0 victory over Zaragoza in the Friday night game. The club had fired coach Luis Miguel Ramis midweek, Fran Fernández taking over as caretaker for this match, with new boss Lucas Alcaraz watching from the stands. Fran Rodriguez fired the locals into the lead following a set-piece free kick just before the break, and Rubén Alcaraz added two more in the second half, the first after picking up a pass from Pozo, and the second with an injury time shot from the half-way line which caught keeper Cristian Alvarez out of his goal.
