Spain’s under 17 coach Santi Denía has named an 18 man squad for the qualifying round of the European championships, which will take place in Northern Ireland later this month. Opponents will be San Marino, Slovakia and the hosts, with the top two of each group going through to the Elite round, together with the five best-placed third ranked sides. (08.09.16)

PS Enrique Ríos and Jorge Galdón were called up later on to replace Enric García and Alejandro Orellana, both from FC Barcelona.
