Spain are through to the semi-finals of the under 17 European championship after coming from behind to beat France 3-1! Gouri gave France an early lead, but Morey made it all square a few minutes later. Abel Ruíz put Santi Denia’s team in front from the penalty spot after Miranda was brought down in the area shortly before the break, and the team captain set up his Barcelona club-mate Sergio Gómez for the third a quarter of an hour or so in to the second half. The result also means that Spain have qualified for next October’s under 17 World Cup in India.
