Spain’s under 17 side came back from two goals down to beat Turkey 3-2 in their first group match. Umut Güneş and Malik Karaahmet scored twice for Turkey in the first ten minutes or so, but team captain Abel Ruíz set up Sergio Gómes to get one back, and then converted a penalty after José Alonso was fouled in the area. And with eight minutes to go Mate Morey got the winner after an overhead kick from César was blocked to get Santi Denia’s team off to a good start.
