Spain’s under 17’s could only draw their second group game against Slovenia, and they will now have to beat hosts Belgium in their last match to be sure of a place in next summer’s finals. Iván Martín hit the post for Santi Denia’s side, but their physical opponents kept them at bay after that. Belgium and Spain have identical records, both having beaten Israel 1-0 and drawn 0-0 against Slovenia, and a three-way tie may even be on the cards. Only one team will be sure of reaching the finals though, with the best seven runners-up also qualifying.
