There will be an all Madrid final for the second time in three years after Real Madrid beat Manchester City 1-0 on Wednesday evening! The only goal in the whole tie came midway through the first half, Bale’s attempted cross hitting the boot of Fernando and flying past Hart and in off the far post. Zidane’s side had the better chances throughout though, Hart having to make several saves, in particular from Bale before the break, and Modric and Ronaldo later on. Pepe had a strike ruled out for offside shortly before half time, and Bale headed against the woodwork from a Kroos corner in the second half. However an away goal would still have taken the Premier League team in to a first ever final, and they came close a couple of times, in particular a shot against the post by Fernandinho just before the interval, and a late effort from Agüero which sailed just over the bar.
