Spain are out of the European championships, Santi Denía’s side losing to Germany on a penalty shoot out after their quarter final tie ended without goals. Kuki Zalazar brought a couple of good saves out of Frommann before the break, and Passlack went close with a long shot after the restart, but in the end in went down to spot kicks, with Aleñá and Oscar missing theirs to hand the semi-final place to their opponents. Spain till have one game left though, with a play-off against the loser of the tie between England and Russia to decide one of the six European places for the upcoming youth World Cup.
