Spain won through a tricky opening game in their European qualifiers, Santi Denia’s side coming from a goal down to beat Lithuania 2-1. Barcelona’s Carles Aleña hit the bar in the opening minute, but five minutes later Megelaitis put the East European side in front. Three minutes after that though Málaga’s Kuki Zalazar picked up an assist from Villanueva to equalize, and Carles Pérez hit the woodwork again before Villanueva set up Aleña for the winner some ten minutes in to the second half.
