An epic night of European football in Seville, with Sevilla FC overturning a two goal deficit at city rivals Betis, and eventually winning through on penalties. Nobody gave Unai Emery’s side much of a chance after their first leg defeat, but Bacca went close early on, and midway through the first half Reyes got on the end of Alberto Moreno’s cross to drill a low shot past Adán. Nono failed to hit the target a couple of times before the break, and Leo Baptistao did likewise after the restart, but with a quarter of an hour to go Bacca connected with another Moreno cross to make 0-2 on the night, equaling the first leg result. That took the game in to extra time, and the visitors could have won it had Adán not pulled off the saves of the night from Gameiro and Bacca, In the end though it went to penalties, and although Adán saved Vitolo’s first spot kick, N’Diaye fired his side’s fourth against the post, and youngster Nono hit a soft fifth kick wide (although Beto possibly got a hand to it?), taking the two-times champions in to the last eight
