Spain beat Lithuania 2-0 in their second group game in Vigo to make it two wins out of two, but they still have to win their last match against Germany on Thursday to qualify for the finals after the Germans clocked up a bigger goal difference in their two matches. Local boy Santi Mina went close a couple of times early on, and Munir put Luis del la Fuente’s side ahead on the half hour mark with a long shot over keeper Gertmonas. However despite dominating for most of the match they were unable to add to their lead until the last minute, when Sandro (who had headed against the bar a few minutes earlier) converted a penalty after Gayá was brought down in the area by Korsakas.
