Spain's under 19 side have been given a bye to the European Elite round as top seeds, but they took part in a friendly tournament in Hungary (hosts of the 2013/14 finals) together with Slovakia and Portugal. Luis de la Fuente's side won the tournament, beating Portugal on goal difference after a 4-1 victory over their hosts in the last match. Celta's Santi Mina was top scorer, getting the only goal against Portugal and then netting a hat-trick in the last game. (14.10.13)
