Spain's under 19 side are through to the semi-finals once again, a 3-2 victory over Holland ensuring top spot of their group with maximum points. Just needing a draw or even a one goal defeat to qualify, coach Luis De la Fuente put out a defensive line-up at the start. However they were caught out by their more physical opponents, and by half time they found themselves behind when Leemans beat Rubén Blanco at the third attempt. One more goal would have taken the Dutch side through in their place, and the Celta keeper had to make vital saves at the start of the second half from Achahbar and Basacikoglu to stop them from doing so. However with twenty minutes to go Sandro got on the end of Gayá's cross to level the scores, and two in a minute from Vadillo and Fede Vico, both following assists by Traoré, ensured them the win. Even so Holland didn't give up, Basacikoglu heading against the upright before Achahbar got another one back from the penalty spot after Gayá handled in the area. Spain's opponents in the semi-finals will be France, who they meet in Kaunus on Monday evening.
