Spain ensured top spot in their mini-league after a convincing 3-0 victory over Holland in the last group match. With both teams already sure of a place in the semi-finals, the two coaches gave a run out to several of their reserve players. Holland's better goal difference meant that Lopetegui's side needed to win to overtake their rivals and avoid Italy, who had won their own group the day before. However Spain once again demonstrated the depth of their squad, Morata getting on the end of Sarabia's cross to net his third of the tournament midway through the first half, and Isco picking up Muniain's through ball to score a second soon afterwards. De Gea made a couple of first class saves to keep out a shot from Van der Hoorn before the break and to push a long Depay free kick on to the crossbar after the restart, and with the game coming to an end Sarabia crossed in again for Alvaro Vázquez to add a third, setting up a semi-final against Norway next Saturday.
