Spain's under 19 side are following in the footsteps of their senior colleagues, and they began their own European championships with a 2-1 win over Greece. Real Madrid's Jesé opened the scoring on the half hour mark, picking up a ball from Deulofeu and ghosting past four defenders before steering an angled shot past Kapino. And with five minutes to go to the break Jesé's Madrid colleague Derik made it two after Juanmi headed back Deulofeu's corner. Greece came back after the break though, and Kepa had some work to do before Diamantakos finally beat him after Katidis laid back a Marinakis cross. Spain's next match is on Friday against Portugal, who beat hosts Estonia 0-3 in the other group game.
