Manchester United's De Gea and Málaga's Isco have been called up by Spain's Vicente Del Bosque for next week's World Cup qualifiers against Finland and France. The coach included nine players from Barcelona and another eight who play in England's Premier League in his 24 man squad, although there were some notable absences, such as Casillas and Puyol (both injured), as well as Juanfran, Javi Martínez, Soldado, Llorente and Torres.
Spain's under 21 side will be playing two friendly games against Norway and Russia, and Thiago is one of six "Azulgranas" in Julen Lopetegui's 20 man squad. Valencia's Canales has also been recalled now that he is back from a long injury lay-off, and with De Gea on first team-duty, Wigan keeper Joel (an old colleague of De Gea's at Atlético Madrid) has been drafted in to replace him.
