Levante and Atlético Madrid are both through to the next round of the competition after winning their respective games on Thursday evening. Levante kicked off first with a 1-3 win at Helsingborg, Angel, Diop and Iborra getting the goals for Juan Ignacio Martínez's team before Sorum scored a late consolation for the Swedes. The Valencia based side host Hannover in the last match, needing a win to overtake the Germans in the table. Atlético Madrid are already top of their group after a narrow 1-0 victory over Hapoel Te-Aviv, Raúl García scoring the only goal early on. The Israelis put up a good fight after that though before succumbing in the end. Athletic Bilbao's match at Hapoel Kiryat was postponed for security reasons, and the match will take place next week, either in Israel or Cyprus depending on the situation at the time. It will be a sterile contest however, as a draw between Sparta Prague and Olympique Lyon in the other group game means that neither Athletic nor Kiryat can qualify for the knock-out stage. (22.11.12)
