Athletic Bilbao have made it through to the Europa League final! Bielsa's team beat Sporting Lisbon 3-1 on the night to go through 4-3 on aggregate, although it was not until two minutes from the end, with extra time looming, that Fernando Llorente fired home the winner. Susaeta had given the Basque side an early lead after Llorente set him up, and although Van Wolfswinkel equalised with two minutes to go to the break, Ibai Gómez put Athletic back in front before the half time whistle. Athletic will play fellow Spaniards Atlético Madrid in the final in Bucharest in two weeks' time, and fans celebrated long in to the night.
