Spain's new under 21 side are off to the best possible start, a 0-2 victory over Croatia giving them maximum points from their first three games in their European qualifying group. The East Europeans were looking to demonstrate that they were better than their opening two losses, and for a few minutes they were on top, with Vukusic shooting straight at De Gea when free on goal. But with eighteen minutes on the clock Rodrigo's header from a Planas cross was blocked by Kelic, and Koke was on hand to bang in the rebound. After that it was all Spain, and before the break Koke and Isco both had chances to increase the lead. And twelve minutes after the restart Rodrigo controlled a long ball from Isco on his chest, and it was all over. Next up in November Estonia and Switzerland at home, and if they win those two games then they can already start booking their tickets for Israel 2013.
