Spain completed the round of warm up games for the Euro 2012 finals with a third victory in a row, although they had more problems than expected before beating China by a single goal. With ex Spanish coach José Antonio Camacho at the helm, the visitors put up a good display, Hao Junmin and Zheng Zi both bringing good saves out of Casillas before the break. Del Bosque was again forced to put out a makeshift line-up, the Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao players having only just joined the squad, and only Xavi and Busquets were in the starting eleven. Negredo was given the striker's role in a 4-3-3 formation, and the Sevilla centre forward tested Zeng Cheng early on. But it was not until the second half that Spain really got going, Zeng having to be at his best to keep out Iniesta and Silva soon after the restart. With just over an hour gone Raúl Albiol headed against the crossbar following a corner, and two minutes later Iniesta hit the bar again after making himself a bit of space. Fernando Torres fired a good chance over after that, and Zeng was in action again to save from Torres, Silva and Iniesta. Finally though with six minutes left on the clock Iniesta produced a dazzling run which ended with him laying the ball back from the by-line, and there was Silva to poke the ball in to the net. A good test for Del Bosque's side, and a reminder that they will have to work hard if they are to repeat their successes over the last four years. (03.06.12)
