Racing Santander named Héctor Cúper as their new coach, and now only Athletic Bilbao are without a manager for next season. Their members will decide that this week when they vote for their new president, with current incumbent Fernando García Macua saying he will keep Joaquín Caparrós in the post, and his rival Josu Urrutia opting for Argentina's Bielsa. A quiet week on the transfer front though with many clubs on holiday, although Real Madrid did announce the signing of young French defender Varane (apparently recommended by Zidane), and Manchester United confirmed that Spanish under 21 European champion De Gea will be joining them from Atlético Madrid. Otherwise most moves were in the second division, their season only just ending recently, and several have still to decide who their coaches will be for the coming campaign. (03.07.11)
