Getafe didn't have an outside chance of reaching the knock-out stage after the last round of results, and Michel used the final group match against already qualified Young Boys to try out some of his youngsters. B team striker Adrián Sardinero obliged for his boss, picking up an Albín through ball to lose his marker and score what was to prove the only goal early on in the game. Ustari had to be on his toes after that though to keep out the visitors, and the Swiss side were unlucky not to come away with a point after Affolter had a goal ruled out for a dubious offside after the break. A game without much interest though, and only 1,200 fans bothered to turn up on a freezing cold night in Madrid.
