Villarreal made sure of a place in the knockout stage after beating Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 on Thursday evening. A Rossi penalty and a strike by Marco Rubén put the Spaniards two up at the break, and Rossi completed the scoring late on. It could have been more though had Kalava not saved a late Marco Senna penalty after Biscan was sent off for blocking Montero's shot with his arm. With Club Brugge drawing at PAOK though, Villarreal are now certain of finishing in the top two spots in their group.
