Spain's under 21 side drew 1-1 against Russia in this warm-up game prior to next week's European Championships. Luis Milla's side were missing De Gea, Mata and Muniain, all of whom were nursing knocks, but otherwise his starting line-up was similar to the one which will face England in Denmark next weekend. Athletic Bilbao's new signing Ander Herrera opened the scoring for Spain with a shot from outside of the area, and Capel came close to a second after the break. But the many substitutions unsettled them later on, and Miño had to make saves from Cheryshev and Shatov before Yakovlev finally beat him late on.
