Spain's under 21 side beat Denmark 2-1 in the first of several warm up games for the European championships, which the Danes themselves will be hosting this summer. The Scandinavian side proved tough opponents, and the only real chance for Luis Milla's team came when Thiago set up Adrián for a shot which Lossi deflected round the post. Midway through the second half though substitutes Ander and Nsue combined for the Mallorca forward to lift a shot over Andersen. But five minutes later Villarreal B's Nicki Bille equalised following a corner, his ugly celebratory gesture right in front of Víctor Ruíz provoking the Napoli defender to get himself sent off for punching his opponent in the face. The ten men rallied however, and a few minutes later Montoya crossed in for Ander to beat the keeper for a second time. Another win for "La Rojita", but a warning that there is not going to be any easy opponent in a summer tournament in which a place in the Olympic Games is at stake.
