For the second time this summer, one of Spain's youth international side lost in a European final. If it was the under 17 team who were beaten two months ago by England, this time it was the under 19s who lost 2-1 to hosts France. Luis Milla's side got off to a good start, Rodrigo clipping a shot past Diallo early on after connecting with Pacheco's through ball. But just four minutes after the restart half time substitute Tafer latched on to a long clearance by his keeper to set up Sunu for him to lob Alex for the equaliser, and with five minutes to go Lacazette headed the winner from Kakatu's cross after Alex had saved from the Chelsea forward. A disappointing result again, but the consolation for Spain is another crop of talented youngsters who will help "La Roja" carry on the tradition for some time to come.
