Spain rounded off their European qualifiers with a 2-1 victory over Russia which gave them maximum points in their group. Atlético Madrid's Saúl Ñiguez gave his side the lead midway through the first half, but Serderov beat Saúl's team-mate David Gil to equalise for the East Europeans seven minutes later. Three minutes later though Quesada restored the lead after Raúl set him up, and Raúl could have increased the lead when he hit the bar late on.
